As we’re all aware, SQL Server will one day be available on Linux. But when? And is it soon? And what features will be available? If you’re looking for answers now…. you’re out of luck, other than the fact that it will be built on SQL Server 2016 and released sometime in 2017. But what you can do is sign up for an early preview of SQL Server on Linux. I’ve already signed up myself.
